so, at 3:00 p.m., tim and i got home from a 4 a.m. trip to the jmcgh ER. maggie had a severe allergic reaction to the antibiotic she had been on for last 3 days for an ear infection. 2nd antibiotic in the last month.
poor baby.
i would like to note, for the record, that this was possibly the shortest hospital stay on record for our family. haha. 10 hours. trust me, i have a feeling thats going to be a record.
tim said that maggie realized it had been 6 months since she had logged a hospital stay and must have known it was time for another ER visit. she's obviously gifted. haha.
ER dr and rn were both wonderful, and there was a pediatric intensivist from VCH covering the PICU unit, which was such a blessing.
maggie is so precious. of course, any momma hates when her baby is sick, but i think i got to hold, cuddle and rock maggie more in the last 12 hours than i have in her whole first year of life combined. (not kidding.) and i wouldn't give anything for it.
